(W)holistic Yoga (60 – 75 mins)
(W)holistic Yoga is derived from various traditions and contemporary arts. The (w)holistic approach follows a guided format comprising a few basic principles, creating a balanced and whole yoga class, including meditation, intention, mantra, pranayama and asana. It takes into account that each body is unique and every-changing, and influenced by many factors. A one-size-fits-all approach is not always in alignment with individual needs – emotions, feelings, life phases and events, seasonal changes, age, abilities, energy levels and hormonal changes impact the body, and therefore the mind and spirit.
Merging breath, balance, flexibility and strength, students learn self-healing techniques and find depth in their practice through body-awareness and connection. Postural integrity and body alignment are fundamental and highlighted throughout a session.
By developing mindful awareness of the entire body – physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual – the (w)hole/(w)holistic body comes together and functions and thrives in a beautiful flow of movement and interaction – an ongoing relationship that grows and harmonizes, creating a life of purpose and contentment, in synergy with the inner and outer worlds and all the elements that constitute the universe and our beings.
All these classes are suitable for all levels.
Yin yoga (75 mins)
Works the deeper tissues of the body – ligaments, joints, fascial networks and even bones. Suitable for all levels.
Kundalini Yoga (90 mins)
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is also called the Yoga of Awareness. A regular Kundalini practice gives a dynamic, powerful tool to accelerate spiritual growth and healing. It develops the power of the intuitive mind – our inner guidance. It is a technology that combines postures, breath, mudra, eye-focus, body locks and mantra to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, increase flexibility, expands lung capacity, strengthens the core, purifies the blood. It cleans out subconscious thought patterns and brings balance to the body, mind and soul, to bring joy and happiness to our everyday lives. Suitable for all levels.
Iyengar Yoga (90 mins)
Iyengar Yoga, developed by B.K.S Iyengar emphasises detail, precision and alignment in the performance of yoga asanas. These classes are suitable for intermediate and advanced practitioners. Fees for these classes are not included in the normal studio fees.
These classes connect you to the natural cycles around and within you…womb stage, lunar cycle, seasons or menstrual cycle. Gentle movements, breath work, relaxation, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, intention setting….all in s safe and nurturing circle of women. Learn practical tools to heal and empower your body and journey.
Suitable for all women at any stage of their lives, and any practitioner level. Fees for these classes are not included in the normal studio fees.
Healing, Tarot and Astrology Readings (by appointment)
We offer energy healing including Core Regeneration, crystal healing and chakra balancing sessions for added restorative support to aid wellness, wholeness and regeneration; as well as tarot and astrology readings.
